The new Essex Branch, a 35,769-square-foot library, will be built on a 4.5-acre site along Old Eastern Avenue. This preliminary design was shaped by extensive community input, ensuring it reflects both the history and spirit of Essex while providing a welcoming space for all.
This $47 million project represents a significant investment in Essex and underscores our commitment to inclusion, innovation and community. While not yet fully funded, planning and fundraising efforts are underway to bring this vision to life.
