Welcome Back! North Point Branch Reopens

  • November 05, 2026
  • By Baltimore County Public Library

We are excited to share that our North Point Branch, including the book drop, is open to the community starting Friday, November 6. The branch closed in June to finish replacing its heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) unit. As we welcome customers back, here are some important tips and tricks.

  1. During the closure, holds were automatically rerouted to the Essex Branch or another branch of your choosing. If you’d like your holds to go back to North Point, you must choose the branch in the dropdown menu on your library account or contact the North Point Branch. For assistance, call 410-887-7555.
  2. The branch is one of our Sunday service locations. Customers can utilize core services, including browsing the collections, computers, printing and faxing, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays through May 17, 2027.
  3. Meeting rooms and study rooms are available for reservations.

"As a community institution, we are thrilled to reopen our doors to our Dundalk neighbors," said Erin Baker, chief public services officer. "Maintaining modern library spaces helps ensure our customers have comfortable, welcoming spaces to explore, learn, create and connect throughout the year."

We are ready to welcome our community back with a November full of programs for all ages. You can find the complete list on our events page, including several programs to celebrate Dinovember.

The winner will be notified by Monday, November 23. We're looking forward to our community once again filling the stacks, computer area and open spaces. Come "Be All In" with us.
