Virtual Book Display: Caribbean American Heritage Month
Baltimore County Public Library invites you to join us in celebrating Caribbean American Heritage Month this June with a virtual book display honoring the richness of Caribbean and Caribbean American histories and cultures.
The Caribbean is home to many nations, languages, traditions, and stories shaped by Indigenous histories, African diasporas, migration, resistance, foodways, music, family, faith, and joy. Caribbean American Heritage Month is an opportunity to recognize the many contributions Caribbean Americans have made to literature, culture, history, and communities across the United States.
This display features books for readers of all ages, including picture books, children’s books, young adult fiction, poetry, cookbooks, memoirs, essays, nonfiction, novels, and more. Explore stories of home and belonging, memory and migration, celebration and survival, and visit your local branch to check out these titles from our collection.
