Virtual Book Display: All Kinds of Families

Families can be built through birth, adoption, friendship, caregiving, culture, choice and the many relationships that shape our lives. This virtual book display, thoughtfully curated by the library’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council, celebrates the countless ways people define home and belonging, from big, bustling households and close-knit chosen families to complicated parent-child relationships and the work of creating family on our own terms. Featuring picture books, children’s books, graphic novels, memoirs, self-help, and adult fiction, these titles explore love, identity, ancestry, caregiving, family history, and the joy and challenge of being connected to one another.
