Baltimore County Public Library strives to make its branches a welcoming place for everyone in the community and works with neighbors to meet their needs. As part of our vision to be more inclusive and connected, the library is offering free notary services for shared domicile forms for Baltimore County Public School families between Thursday, August 1, and Saturday, September 21. Staff is available at our Essex, Owings Mills and White Marsh branches Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

What is a Shared Domicile Form?

This form is used when the student(s) is in the custody of a parent or legal guardian who continues to live in Baltimore County without the benefit of a deed or lease of their own; homeowner or leaseholder with whom the student lives in Baltimore County.

What to Bring

Customers must bring a valid, current photo ID, and all signers must be present at the signing. No documents should be signed before visiting the branch. If more items need to be notarized, customers may bring them. However, the cost for those forms is $3 per signature, and payment can be made by cash, check, credit or Tap and Pay.

Come Be All In

After getting the shared domicile form notarized, the library encourages customers to sign their families up for a library card. This will give them instant access to dozens of resources, including books, computers, learning kits and more. We also encourage families to sign up for our new newsletter written entirely in Spanish to learn more about resources and upcoming programs at the library.
