Virtual Book Display: International Day for the Elimination of Racism

Every March 21, the United Nations commemorates International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. On this date in 1960, South African police fired upon peaceful protesters demonstrating against racist laws under apartheid. In recognition of this day, Baltimore County Public Library’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Advisory (IDEA) Group has gathered a list of books that underscore the continued reality of racism around the world and highlight the voices and experiences of those who struggle against racism.
