Now Accepting Donations for Veterans Comfort Drive

Veterans Drive

The library has kicked off its annual Veterans Comfort Drive, which supports veterans at the Loch Raven VA Medical Center.

Customers are encouraged to donate much-needed supplies at all 19 branches through Monday, October 15.

Items Needed

  • Disposable razors
  • Shaving cream
  • Deodorant
  • Alcohol-free mouthwash
  • Shampoo
  • Toothbrushes with covers
  • Sensitive toothpaste
  • Body wash (no bar soap)
  • Hand or body lotion
  • Hats or ball caps
  • Backpacks
  • Slippers with rubber traction
  • Art supplies such as acrylic paints, paintbrushes, watercolor palettes, drawing paper, markers, craft or model kits

All donations must be new and unused.

The Loch Raven VA Medical Center, which is located in north Baltimore, offers inpatient, outpatient and primary care services to current and former members of the United States military. The center also provides hospice and nursing home care to veterans requiring inpatient care and specialized assistance for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
