After college graduation, Allison went to work for WETA, Channel 26, in  Washington, DC as a Local Underwriting & Development Assistant until 1992.  In October, 1992, she went to work for the Voice of America as an International  Radio Broadcaster. A year later at Channel One in Los Angeles, CA she was  an Anchor/Reporter where she anchored a 10 minute newscast which was  broadcast nationwide to 8 million viewers daily. In 1995, Allison went to work for  Black Entertainment Television in Burbank, CA as an Associate Producer. In  1996, Allison decided to pursue a graduate degree.
