Join author Graeme Simsion, BCPL librarians and members of the BCPL Facebook community on June 11 at 7 p.m. for the first-ever Between the Covers Book Club Chat! We’ll be discussing Mr. Simsion’s popular book, The Rosie Project. As our book blogger Beth said when she reviewed the book in September, “Graeme Simsion’s The Rosie Project is an irresistible, laugh-out-loud funny love story that begs to be read aloud and shared with friends.”

The Rosie Project is about a brilliant but socially awkward geneticist named Don Tillman who sets out on a hilarious project to find a wife. Along the way, he meets Rosie, and while she doesn’t meet any of his requirements, he agrees to help her find her biological father. Soon he finds
himself spending more time on the Father Project than the Wife Project.

In her review, Beth said, “Although Don often fails to understand the social subtext of the situation, the reader does not, and Simsion’s use of humor is pitch-perfect. Fans of The Big Bang Theory’s Dr. Sheldon Cooper will love seeing the world through Don’s eyes.”

Get your copy of The Rosie Project now, and start reading so you’ll be ready to join in the chat on June 11. And if you haven’t liked our BCPL Facebook page, go to, click “Like” and check back often! Happy reading!
