Volunteer Opportunities at BCPL
Volunteers are an important part of
the Baltimore County Public Library system.
Last year more than 300 library volunteers gave 56,000 service hours!
BCPL can provide a variety of
challenging and rewarding volunteer opportunities. All assignments offer
flexible scheduling and a chance to play an important role in providing
library services. Your volunteer
role will be as individual as you are. Assignments are based on your
unique skills and interests. Throughout the year BCPL accepts volunteers
in each of our library locations. Volunteers in our libraries
assist the staff by shelving books and mending materials, answering
telephones, checking out books and assisting with special library
programs.
To begin the volunteer application process complete
and submit a
volunteer application. For more information about the location of
our libraries, please consult the map of library locations.
