This book was amazing. I found that the way T.A. Barron told the lore of Merlin exciting and innovative. It seemed like T.A. Barron had really done his research. The whole series is great. Merlin who is known to be a great legend is shown to be a character as vulnerable as the average joe. The book makes it so that Merlin seems real to the reader, and not as unrelated as a god.

There are some books that if you see them, before you’ve thought you’ve bought them. Others you buy because the bookstore might have a reason for keeping fifty copies. Or still others that you buy because they were ten rand and you can’t resist a bargain. These are all fine and normal but maybe once or twice in your life you find books you look at for no reason then move on but five minutes later you’re looking at the same book again. This repeats until you are torn between buying something you know and trust or buying something completely different and alien. Then reality kicks in and you have to choose and once you’ve paid you realize you picked the alien. In this sense a book is like a person because you come across a person like that maybe once in your life. It’s the same with books. So that’s how I ended up taking a glittering book by and unknown author. Its books like these that change your perceptions they make you think twice about what you do. It’s more about the fact that when you do something are you playing god or is this how it should be? The problem is when they publish books like this they should really be publishing the sequels as well. The torture people go through waiting for Harry Potter is nothing! This book is going to be huge once the sequel is out. I don’t know what it is with the human race but only when they have to wait for an instalment does a book become number one. This story is as close to ideal as possible, it has everything: ideas, comedy, danger, conflict and average people who do what they can. You like them because they are just like you making mistakes, jokes and living life they way everyone does. It’s got to be something no one has thought of to be special.

These two books are awesome, Da Vinci Code is better than Angels and Demons but try to read Angels and Demons before because otherwise you wont enjoy it too much. Its a fascinating story of a cyptologist who unlock incredible mysteries. It is like a semi fictious series and even though the stuff in books arent original and there are better authors in the field with precise details, Dan Brown assimilates all the information to make it very thrilling. Gotta read it or will regret it. If you a staunch christian or specially a catholic you might get offended but please don't, remember it is just a book.
