Weather Emergency Information

Baltimore County Cooling Centers [PDF] (local Interest)
When Baltimore County declares a heat emergency, the Essex, Lansdowne and Parkville Senior Centers become "cooling centers" for the public with extended hours until 8 P.M. During the months of May to September, all Baltimore County Senior Centers are open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. for relief from the heat. You can also cool off Monday through Saturday at your closest Baltimore County Public Library. The Rosedale and Towson libraries are open Sundays 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.

Baltimore County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (local interest)
Gives personal and community preparedness information in the event a disaster strikes the Baltimore region. Baltimore County does not have established evacuation routes. Precise evacuation routes will depend on the nature and location of the emergency. Monitor television and radio news for instructions from local authorities.
