Baltimore County Cooling Centers [PDF] (local Interest)
When Baltimore County declares a heat emergency, the Essex, Lansdowne and
Parkville Senior Centers become "cooling centers" for the public with extended
hours until 8 P.M. During the months of May to September,
all Baltimore County Senior Centers are open to the public Monday through
Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. for relief from the heat. You can also cool
off Monday through Saturday at your closest
Baltimore County Public Library. The Rosedale and Towson libraries are
open Sundays 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.
