Homelessness
Prevention Program
The Maryland Department of Human Resources
provides limited grants or loans to households with a pending eviction, and in
some jurisdictions, support counselors who work with tenants and landlords to
prevent evictions.
HOPE - Homeowners Preserving Equity

A Maryland initiative for preventing foreclosures due to subprime and "exotic"
mortgage problems. Site contains a downloadable consumer information kit
which includes foreclosure prevention measures and steps to take before
meeting with a housing advisor or lending officer.
Maryland State Bar Association-Foreclosure Proceedings
A new foreclosure law went into effect in Maryland on April 4, 2008 and any
foreclosure action filed after that date must comply with the new law.
