Baby Booster Kits - Interaction to Go
Baltimore County Public Library's Baby Booster Kits, collections of books and resources available for use by parents and child care providers, are housed in easy-to-carry backpacks.
Each kit contains 10 children's books on a particular theme, plus a parent resource book and a compact disc or DVD.
Baby Booster Kits are available at all BCPL branches, and you can reserve a kit free of charge at the Information Desk of your local library. For more information about the contents of a specific kit or to , select the appropriate link below.

ALL
ABOUT BABIES
This kit features fun
books about babies and things they do.
ALL ABOUT ME
These self-concept
books help a child learn body parts and develop motor skills.
ALPHABET ANTICS
Letters dance across the pages and even climb trees in these books promoting
early alphabet awareness.
BABY ANIMALS
These books let children explore baby animals. Books feature a variety of animal
babies such as pets, ocean animals, and wild animals.
BABY SIGNS
learning simple signs can help babies
communicate their wants and needs. Use the books and DVD in this kit to teach
your baby signs for everyday activities, objects, and even to sing a song.
COLORS
This kit helps young children explore the wonderful world of colors and includes
high contrast books that are just right for infants still learning to
focus their eyes.
CONCEPTS
Books in this kit teach children about opposites, shapes, senses and other
simple concepts.
COUNTING FUN
Learning to count is fun with lively stories featuring a variety of favorite
animals.
ES TIEMPO ESPAņOL!
This kit contains a variety of Spanish books for young
children and their families to enjoy. Includes the classic story Buenos
Noches Luna (Good Night Moon).
EXPLORING MY WORLD
These books help children learn about objects and experiences in nature and
their community.
FEELINGS
This kit helps young children discover and find names for their emotions and
includes simple books with colorful photographs of baby faces just right for the
youngest child.
FUN WITH MUSIC
Your child will love moving to the beat of the classic songs featured in these
stories and learning new songs and finger-plays.
GOING PLACES
Cars, trucks and other vehicles are highlighted in this kit featuring
transportation stories and books. We've included a parent book with ideas that
will make traveling with an infant or toddler easier on parents and caregivers.
GOING TO THE DOCTOR
These stories help children cope with visits to the doctor and help promote
early health education by teaching them about their senses and the importance of
taking good care of their bodies.
HIDE AND SEEK ANIMALS
Young children love to play peek-a-boo, and they'll love these lift-the-flap
books and other fun stories about animals.
ME AND MY FAMILY
These stories teach young children about family relationships and fun things
they can do with their families. It also features touch and feel books that help
them learn about objects they see and use every day.
NIGHTY NIGHT
Going to bed can sometimes be scary for young children, but it's easier with
these books about settling down for the night. We've also included a book on
getting your child to sleep so that parents get a good night's rest, too.
ON THE FARM
Children will learn about farm animals as they "oink," "moo" and "quack" along
