Comprehensive offering of recreation activities including baseball, softball, soccer, crafts, teen centers and teen drop-ins, roller skating and ceramics. Programs are held in Baltimore County schools and parks.

Introduction to law enforcement for youth ages 14-20. Regular meetings and basic instruction in various phases of law enforcement. Field trips and ride-along programs.

Drop in centers for youth ages 8-17 where police officers and youth can interact in a positive manner through constructive activities that aid in character development. Supervised and staffed by Police Department officers, Recreation Coordinators and community volunteers. Free counseling services available to the children. The Bureau of Substance Abuse provides drug prevention services which include tutorial assistance, arts and crafts, community service opportunities and life skills training.

Your local library is a great place to visit. The library makes reading fun and offers programs for children, youth and families including story times, puppet shows, and a summer reading club.

Three bookmobiles serve Baltimore County residents. Library on the Go  Senior & Library on the Go Junior make community stops and visit special needs schools. Read Rover brings the library to licensed day care providers in Baltimore County. Children enjoy a story time with both stories and an activity.
