It you or a friend is a victim of rape, it is imperative to seek help
immediately. Call the police immediately at 911.
- DO NOT take a shower, bath, or wash prior to the arrival of the police.
- DO NOT wash your clothes or disturb the area where the rape took place.
- The police will escort you to medical assistance, will collect necessary
data to apprehend the assailant, and will put you in touch with counseling.
- If you are a victim of unreported rape in the past, it is important for
your emotional well-being to confront the issue. The police and other
agencies listed below will be able to assist you.
