Regular medical checkups are important during teenage years when your body is going through many changes. You may have a family doctor who has been treating you since you were a child. Some other places that provide health care are listed. You might want to talk to people at different places before deciding where to go. Call and ask them about their services. Some questions you might want to ask are:
-
Do they treat teenagers?
-
Are they affiliated with any hospitals?
-
What do they charge for a complete physical exam?
-
Do you need your parents' consent to be seen by a doctor?
-
If you would prefer to be seen by a female doctor, do they have one on staff?
