The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, better known as the WIC program, serves to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who have a medical or nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care.

Eligible clients may receive one week of groceries for their family three times a year. Contingent upon availability of groceries and special circumstances, additional grocery assistance may be authorized. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the Network provides holiday dinner baskets. Identification and proof of residence needed for assistance. Services are restricted to Baltimore County households in zip code 21228, and some of 21244, 21207 and 21229.

Provides emergency food to income-eligible Baltimore County residents. The Emergency Food Package is meant only as a supplement and provides enough food for approximately 5 to 7 days. Eligible recipients may receive emergency food only once every 30 calendar days. Eligibility for emergency food packages is determined through the following documents: 1) some form of photo identification with current address; 2) proof of household income; 3) Social Security card or cards; and 4) information related to other persons in your household ( e.g. name, Social Security number, age ).
