needing help in crisis oil situations. Available to those in service area
bounded by zones 21210, 21212 and 21239 on the south, west to Falls Road

Provides a grant to help low-income families
and individuals pay home energy bills and promotes energy conservation
through the
Maryland Energy Assistance ( M E A P )
which provides one-time a heating season grant to low income families and
individuals for heating, Electric Universal Service Program ( E U S
P ) that provides a grant once a year to low income families and
individuals based on their annual electric usage to subsidized Budget
Billing with Baltimore Gas and Electric ( B G E). and
The Utility
Service Protection Program ( U S P P ) that protects low-income families from utility
cut-offs and allows eligible households to enter into a payment program with
their utility company.

Assists low-income county residents meet their
energy needs. Manages the Fuel Fund of Baltimore County. Applications for
the Maryland Energy Assistance Program ( M E A P ) are available at all
offices. Offers residential weatherization to reduce energy costs to
low-income persons by improving the energy efficiency of their homes.

Funds to assist one family per month up to $1500 written to the debtor.
Criteria is a crisis, defined as a bill that is no longer than one to two
months old and you must have a plan to deter this from reoccurring which
means you must be currently employed. Pick up a grant application at the
Center. You must return application including copies of the bills you are
requesting help with and attend a family spending class.
