Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Hotline

Important hotline for sexual assault, rape and domestic violence victims who
need information and referrals for services offered in the Baltimore and
Carroll County areas. Trained counselors offer crisis counseling and safety
planning. Assists domestic violence victims seeking shelter, victim advocate
and legal options. Assists rape and sexual assault victims requesting
companion to accompany them to the emergency room.

Operates 2 houses providing transitional
shelter for up to 20 women and children at any given time. Provides
case management and therapy for the women to help them deal with and survive
domestic violence and work towards independence. Children are provided with
therapy, tutoring, and play groups.

permanent housing is being arranged. Domestic violence counseling for women

Provides temporary twenty-four hours, seven
days a week safe shelter for ninety days for up to thirty-five individuals
and family members who must leave their homes in order to prevent family
violence from occurring. Counseling, victim advocacy in seeking legal
solutions or support in court, case management, and other support and
resources are available.

Domestic violence shelter for women and children, with counseling,
supportive and legal services. Average stay in shelter is forty-five
days and there is no limit on length of stay. Shelter houses eighty-four
individuals. Hotline provides confidential
counseling, entry to shelter, referrals to counseling programs.
