What Is the Connections: Children,
Youth and Family Resources?
In Baltimore County, there are many community
organizations with trained staff to answer questions and to help you find the information needed
to make informed decisions. Connections: Children, Youth and Family Resources is a listing of those organizations that work with children, youth and their families.
Connections has been designed to help you make a direct connection with the organization
that can provide the most appropriate services for you. We hope you will find this
directory is a useful self-help guide to the many services available in our County.
Connections includes
entries for government agencies at the federal, state, local county and
city levels as well as non-profit organizations. Businesses are included
only if they offer services which are difficult for the consumer to
locate. Businesses that are readily found in the yellow pages of phone
directories or those that
advertise their services widely are not included.
Connections is available through our home page at http://www.bcpl.info/ in the
"Your Community" area. After clicking on Your Community, select
Services Directories and the link to Connections: Children, Youth and
Family Resources.
Baltimore County Public Library annually reviews the content for each organization
in Connections and makes the necessary changes. All
updates and changes are made on a continual revision basis. It is the responsibility of the organization to report to
the Information Services Department (410-887-6124) of the Baltimore County Public Library
any changes or inaccuracies that may occur in the interim.
While every effort is made to see that Connections is as accurate and
current as possible, neither the Baltimore County Local Management Board nor the Baltimore
County Public Library are responsible for the
reliability of the information provided to it by the organizations.
The listing of an organization in Connections does not constitute an
endorsement. It is up to the individual(s) needing such services to interview the
prospective provider(s) prior to availing themselves of those services.
