Choosing child care may be one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Finding affordable, quality care that will meet your needs can be a difficult task but many resources are available to help you. There are a variety of child care options, including regulated center or home care, informal care, camps, before and after school care, nannies, au pairs, etc. The right option depends on you and your child's needs. The time and effort it takes to find quality care for your child will be worth it.

LOCATE: Child Care is a statewide online child care resource and
referral counseling service which counsels parents about the wide variety of
regulated child care available and identifies program options which match
parental needs. Statewide information on child care centers, family child care
providers and Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved
programs available. LOCATE services are available by phone, Monday Friday,
9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

World of Care is a day care center designed to care for sixty-three medically fragile
children six weeks to five years who have a medical condition that requires
daily nursing intervention,
such as pulmonary insufficiency, I.V. therapy or ventilator dependency. Also
offers on-site physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Project ACT provides on site training, consultation and support to child
care providers caring for children with special needs in licensed child care
