Census 2010 Redistricting
Program
Every ten years, governors and state legislatures are given population
figures to be used to determine legislative and election boundaries. The
process of setting
the boundaries of their congressional and other election districts is known as
redistricting. The Census Bureau is planning for the Census 2010
redistricting effort.
Congressional Apportionment
Apportionment is the process of dividing up the seats in the House of Representatives among the 50 states. This site
explains who's counted, how apportionment is determined, a history of
the process, 2000 Census results used for the current House and much more.
